Plant the Seed for Healing

No strong and towering oak tree started that way. It started as a seed, unseen at first but bursting with life and power, ready to show that strength to the world through growth.

Plant the seed for healing Melody Jones authorWe’re going to plant that seed of healing.

Today, write down a list of 5 true positive qualities you possess. You do have them, even if you’ve not paid attention to them lately.

Any positive quality works! Are you very organized? A loyal friend? An incredible baker of chocolate chip cookies? A kind neighbor? Can make anything grow? Someone who can do 100 push ups in a row? Really love to clean? (okay, if that’s the case, I need you in my life!)

If needed, ask a deeply trusted friend to share your positive qualities with you, and remind you of who you are.

I strongly suggest that if you are talking with your friend in person, record the conversation on your smart phone. There may come a time you will need to be reminded of these qualities. What a wonderful bonus that you can hear them in your good friend’s voice.

Second task: read your 5 positive qualities aloud at least ten times. Yes, do this step. Don’t skimp on it.

On your tenth reading of your positive qualities, record yourself on your smart phone or other device. By the tenth reading, your conviction will come through more strongly, an important part of your healing process.

To keep the seed growing, rewrite your positive qualities every day for 21 days. Make it a priority to do this. Your planted seed needs ongoing care and feeding to grow strong roots and eventually grow upward so that you and all can see.

Plant your seed for healing today and use writing as one of your healing tools.
