Hello and welcome to your June writing prompts.
There’s something about June where the nights are still a little cooler and long-promised summer days stretch before us like a beacon of sunlight and water and icy cold lemonade. It’s the feeling that summer will last forever.
As you may know by now (or maybe you don’t!), I highly recommend writing by hand whenever you are doing free writing or warmup writing. Moving from head to heart to hand in this way makes a difference in what the pen produces.
June Writing Prompts
- Write about something in your house that no one else knows about.
- If your current pet or a past pet could talk, what would they say to you?
- Describe yesterday in great detail, from the moment you awoke until you want to bed for the night.
- Write about one of your secrets. Decide whether you will turn that secret to ash or keep it. Does this make a difference in how free you feel to write about your secret? (Don’t burn the house down).
- What are three things that made you laugh in the last week?
Thanks for visiting, and happy writing!
